WORLD junior bronze medalist Boniface Kiprop will lead a team of 16 Ugandans in Saturday’s IAAF/Permit Kenya cross country championships in Nairobi.
It was still uncertain whether world 5000m junior champion Dorcus Inzikuru will attend, as her entry has not yet been received.
Ugandan squad: 6km: L.Badaru 8km: M.Toroitich,M. Kintu, H.Bakumpe, J.Ogwang, M.Mukkwinye, J.Okello, B.Kiprop, W.Kipkemei, J.Kibet,M. Kusuro.12km: T. Okello, J.Nsubuga, Y.Muwonge,S.Ebong.
- THE UAAF interim athletics steering committee chairman Timothy Magala is considering sending a second string team to honour an invitation to the Djibouti international half-marathon.
The Djibouti International half-marathon is scheduled at about the same time next month when Uganda hosts the East African cross-country championships at Garuga.
“If the air tickets arrive on Monday, we shall have to send athletes to take part,†he said.
