THE last team to beat SC Villa on the domestic front was Police mid last year.
Villa has since maintained its unbeaten run on top of winning the top prize in east and central Africa, the CECAFA Club title.
The pursuit of league glory continues for Villa at Mandela Stadium, Namboole today, when they face coach Paul Hasule’s side whose boys have a knack for shocking title hopefuls.
Hasule, a former Villa park favourite will be wary of the threat poised by Alex Isabirye (picture left). Isabirye has seven goals.
Villa’s rampant forwards have risen at important occasions and Police’s defence manned by Ausi Kaya and Simeon Masaba will have to be at its best to counter the Jogoo threat.
Both sides are coming off comfortable goal jamborees.
Police whipped Akol 4-1 on Tuesday while Villa walloped Mbarara 3-0.
In Masindi, Kinyara, who pulled off an impressive 1-0 win over Masaka and a goalless draw against table leaders URA, face Iganga.
