Registrar’s office is a headache

SIR — The Academic Registrar’s office at Makerere University leaves a lot to be desired. In the globalised economy today, it is sad to note that a lot of the work in that office is done manually, at the expense of students. the people in charge of issuing the transcripts look hungry and angry all the time. Although they already have jobs, they don’t care about the students who have just left Makerere and whose employment depends on the transcripts. It is time Makerere started accessing information in a modern way.
