Trial games against Kenyan clubs and national select sides are being negotiated for next month or May. Uganda Cricket Association administrative officer Arthur Nuwagaba revealed that letters had been sent to Kenya Cricket Association (KCA) and the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCBSA) seeking for the appropriate dates for the trial matches. A squad of 33 players is currently under going drills with India trained coach Justine Ligyalingi at Lugogo daily. “There is definitely a lot of competition among the players and every one is performing to his best to be considered on the squad on merit,†Ligyalingi said. John Lubia and Nehal Bibodi are yet to confirm their availability. Ends
