THE Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) have contributed sh500,000 to the Uganda Media Investors Club Limited (UMICL) towards knowledge promotion in capital markets, business and financial reporting, reports Stephen Ilungole.
The cheque was last week handed over to the UMICL chief executive officer, Richard Hasunira, at the USE offices on Workers House in Kampala.
The money was USE’s contribution to the Club’s initial capital.
USE boss Simon Rutega said the initiative was aimed at building and enhancing the reporting skills of business and financial journalists with the country’s capital markets to develop professionalism.
