FOURTEEN senior Police officers have been reshuffled in a major shake up.
The reshuffle was effected yesterday by the Inspector General of Police, Maj. Gen. Katumba Wamala.
The changes which the deputy police spokesman, John Kimera said took immediate effect, affects officers from the criminal investigations department (CID) and the regular Police.
The transfers come hardly a month after another 23 top officers were moved.
Sources said the officers affected by the shake-up had been informed of the changes and ordered to report to their new stations. Superintendent Paul Wamala, who has been on a study course, takes over as the deputy commandant of Nsambya Police barracks, the biggest in the country.
The OC CID Luweero, Musede, goes to the Violent Crime Crack Unit, while Gaston Bushobora, who has been DPC Kyenjojo, moves to Kampala as the officer-in-charge of the information room. He swaps office with James Ocaya.
The DPC Wakiso, C. Tubabone, is transferred to the Police headquarters as staff officer responsible for human resource development, while Banyagi Ayebare, who has been DPC Pallisa, moves to Wakiso in the same capacity.
