Tobey Maguire, who portrayed comic book hero “Spider-Man†in last year’s hit movie, might be forced to pull out of the sequel because of a bad back, the entertainment website E!Online reported.
Quoting sources closest to the actor, the report said Maguire had aggravated his back while shooting two physically demanding roles:
Spider-Man, followed 18 months later by the four-month shoot for Universal’s horse-racing drama, Seabiscuit, in which Maguire plays jockey Red Pollard. “With an April 12 start date around the corner, everyone involved wants to be certain he is able to do the intense stunts," Maguire’s rep, Kelly Bush, said in a statemen.
