Nichole Myles, the CA sales and business development executive in an interview with The New Vision last week said, the deal is part of their strategy to penetrate east, central and the northern markets of Africa.
“We deliver software and services that enable organizations to manage their IT environments. We delayed to find a link in East Africa, because the region was not ready then. However, Uganda is now more than ready for any of our solutions,†Myles said.
She said the focus areas would include network and systems management, storage and security management, portal and business intelligence, and application life-cycle management.
CA was founded in 1976 and is a $3b revenue enterprise, providing business technology and IT solutions in over 100 countries in the world.
Suneet Sahai, managing director of Technology Associates said TA, which is part of Computer Point (Nairobi), is already training staff. Computer Point has a Kampala office.
“We will be launching our joint products to the market in the next few weeks,†Sahai said.
