LUWERO Boys will be the primary school to watch as over 200 pupils camp at Lugogo for the regional finals of the MTN, Multi-Choice and Stanbic Bank Mini Cricket championships tomorrow.

Three teams from Luwero qualified for the regional stage in the boys U-10, U-13 and girls U-13 categories after the district competitions.

Seven primary schools including Mukono Town PS, Nagalama, Lake Victoria, Nalinya and Kimanya will battle at Lugogo oval for honours to represent central region at the national championships May 4.

Favourites St Nicholas PS will also be fancied against seven other schools for the Nile region berth.

Lake Victoria, Iganga Boys, Kamuli Boys, Naminange, Rock View PS, and Ogutu PS will all camp at Jinja oval.

“The tournament is going on as planned and we have benefited a lot from the school teachers who have conducted matches at the district and some volunteers at the regions,” event coordinator Aloysius Nainhabo said.

The winners in the two regional finals will meet schools that earlier qualified from the Eastern, Western and Kampala regions.
