AUTHORITIES in Bukonzo county, Kasese district, have passed a by-law prohibiting school-going-age children from carrying out any form of business.

AUTHORITIES in Bukonzo county, Kasese district, have passed a by-law prohibiting school-going-age children from carrying out any form of business.

Bwera assistant resident district commissioner Rose Rwabaseke said this followed an increase in the number of primary school dropouts.

Statistics indicate that over 20% of the children who had registered at for universal primary education had by December 2002 dropped out.
