KASESE — The district Movement chairman, Bwambale Bamusade, has said he has information that the People’s Redemption Army, led by Lt. Cols. Kyakabale and Mande was preparing war against Uganda. He was addressing over 2,000 mourners at a funeral at Kanyuwenya village in Kisinga sub-county last Wednesday.

Man held
BUSHENYI — The Police are holding a 50-year-old man who reportedly stabbed his wife to death and gave himself in on Saturday. The acting district Police commander, Ivan Nkwasibwe, said Dominic Matyansi stabbed Tereza Mubi, 40, with a sharp metal, killing her instantly in Kigara village, 45km south-east of the town.

FORT PORTAL — The School of Clinical Officers is to be affiliated to
Makerere University Medical School. The school principal, Dr. Matthias Kiddu, said at the weekend that a team from the university visited the school to assess its standards and compatibility with those of Makerere Medical School. Once affiliated, the school, founded in 1969, will offer Makerere Medical School diplomas. Ends
