The Uganda chapter of the African Parliamentarians’ Network Against Corruption (APNAC-U) is set to fight corruption among MPs, reports James Odong.
APNAC-U chairperson Sarah Nyombi (Ntenjeru) told the press at Parliament recently that they would soon launch an offensive against corrupt public officials beginning with parliamentarians.
“For us to be taken seriously in this struggle against corruption, we need to be exemplary. We shall be on the look-out for some of our colleagues who may be corrupt and pass the information to the disciplinary committee of parliament,” she said.
