FFUMBE underlined their superiority in the ring by retaining the Bika boxing championship on Sunday.
The champions outclassed a big field after garnering 70 points in the week-long annual Buganda clans bonanza that was watched by a capacity crowd at Lugogo indoor stadium.
Ffumbe, who took charge from the start, scored victory in seven of their 12 bouts in the final.
Lugave finished second with 36 points while Mmamba followed with 23. Kkobe and Ngo shared fourth position with 21 points apiece.
A joyous Ffumbe team manager Jimmy Walusimbi promised to maintain the dominance.
“With support, we shall strive to stay ahead,” he said of the victory.
A stirring show from bantamweight Ben Lubwama, featherweight Fred Kimuli, light welter Golola Mandwa, welterweight Kenneth Sebwalunyo, flyweight Kisitu Kintu, middleweight Aloysius Senoga and light heavy Joseph Mpanga kept the flag high for Ffumbe.
Celtel (U), Katumwa Sports Centre and Super FM sponsored the event that drew 301 boxers from 30 clans.
