By Douglas Mazune CALTEX Rally Team’s Moses Lumala will unleash another Toyota Celica ST185 in the UMOSPOC Challenge rally this weekend. A source told The New Vision yesterday that Lumala’s car was purchased in Nairobi and crossed the border at the weekend. “It has been driven few times since it was bought from Toyota Team Europe (TTE) eight years ago. The car is still intact,†the source said. The shell of the newly acquired car is similar to the Tiger (above), but the machine is more reliable and could stop Charlie Lubega’s dominance. “You may not even notice that it is not the usual car,†the source added. With a better car, Caltex Rally Team leader Lumala (225 points) who has been nagged by insufficient engine power in the first three events, should now plan to overhaul Lubega’s 240 points. With Emma Katto sidelined by a cylinder head problem, focus will be on Lumala and Lubega. Scrutineering of cars is on Saturday morning at Hotel Africana before the Super Special Stage at Garuga. The second leg on Sunday will cover Wakiso and Mukono.
