Container firm starts ISO bid

MULTIPLE Internal Container Deport (MICD) has officially started its ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management system. The move is intended to modernise management and offer better services to customers.
Nemko Certification AS, Norway will supervise the implementation which started last March. MICD will be certified in August after satisfying the Nemko auditors.
Nemko’s local general manager, Olivia Lukwiya, advised the company’s management to follow the recommended standards while implementing the system. She said having certification is a novelty for any company seeking to be internationally recognised.
