ONE of the four seminarians who had been reported killed by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) has surfaced.

William Akena, a senior four student at Lacor Minor Seminary, reported back on Tuesday evening with wounds all over his body.

He has been admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor.

His relative, who declined to be named, told The New Vision that Akena said the rebels tortured him and left him to die when he failed to walk in Lamogi sub-county, Kilak county, Gulu district.

He said he spent three weeks in the bush before reaching home.

Four days after their abduction on May 11, five of his colleagues who escaped and reported back said Akena was among the four seminarians the rebels had hacked to death.

The LRA rebels on May 11 struck Lacor Minor Seminary near Gulu town and abducted 44 seminarians.
