UNICEF has donated a total of 252 bicycles worth sh25m to Lira district for the implementation of development programmes.

UNICEF has donated a total of 252 bicycles worth sh25m to Lira district for the implementation of development programmes.
The chief administrative officer Lira, Daniel Wycliff Odwedo, handed over the bicycles to the beneficiaries who hailed from the seven sub-counties of Ogur, Aromo, Okwang, Adwari, Orum, Olilim and Omoro, where the district is implementing UNICEF activities.
Beneficiaries included parish development committee community volunteer councillors, integrated management of childhood illness mobilisers and peer educators.
The function was held at Lira district store.
Deputy district speaker Patrick Odwar, and the UNICEF district coordinator, Francis Okello, were present. Ends
