IN 2001, you read in these pages about a teenage singer who had appeared on the music scene with his dancehall single Nshaka Omunyarwanda. The voice behind that song belongs to Jingo Sho aka Sam Jingo. He has grown up, now 20 years old and so has his voice.
Jingo (pictured) is back with Nalyaki Leero, produced by Steve Jean and Lalas Jjemba of TVR studios. In this urban dancehall hit, Sho warns youth who have love affairs with sugar mummies to stop bragging about it.
On this album he has come up with another version of Nshaka Omunyarwanda, a song that would force you off your seat to shake your body.
The song is also getting some local air play –– on Sanyu FM’s African Express programme also on regional Dar es Salam based station East Africa FM and in Kigali’s Cadillac nightclub. Ends
