An Eulogy For Dad

Good night Papa for soon it will be morning Good night Papa for you have just gone to sleep
A pillar of strength and courage enduring
A pillar of memory in our midst always

Oh Papa you should have allowed us a chance to nurse you
And we would all have gathered to say good night
To the pillar of love all engulfing
A pillar of hard work all challenging
Oh Papa you didn’t have to have much, to make us happy
Oh but your presence would with charm aglow
Set the Christmas tree ablaze with warmth
A pillar of love you will always stand
Oh son, for Mukaikuru you dearly called me
I miss your warmth and love enduring
And so I say good night son and
A pillar of endearment in my heart forever cherish

Please be one, you always prayed
And a pillar of unity in our midst you will stand
Good night Papa for you will kiss us good morning on the other side
Good night Papa for it will soon be good morning.
