LITTLE known bowlers Fred Isabirye and Clive Kyangungu gave all-star Kenyan side Afripals a scare, before Uganda’s junior team fell by 121 runs at Lugogo oval yesterday.
The duo picked three wickets each as Kenya’s middle order collapsed with World Cup stars Steve Tikolo (26), Thomas Odoyo (19) and Peter Ongondo (09) struggling.
Upcoming paceman Jimmy Okello (2/36) further frustrated the visitors by dismissing openers Kennedy Obuya (22) and David Obuya (18).
The Kenyans however showed their determination to sweep the series with some super bowling to win. Odoyo (3/10), Peter Ongondo (4/19) and Lameck Onyango (3/12) ensured the game ended with 28 overs to spare.
Uganda U-19 batsman Michael Kintu top scored with 10 runs.

- Uganda’s captain Junior Kwebiiha believes his side will pull of an upset over the Kenyans again.
“It’s yet another huge task and we are under no fear. They are world-class and they can put up a good show, but if it’s not their their day, they can be beaten,” Kwebiiha said.
Two visiting Nairobi sides last month failed to prove their superiority over local select sides. Swamibapa and Kanbis lost their tour series to Ugandans .
MTN gave the clash a boost by donating T-shirts to both teams.
