TWO people died and five others were seriously injured when a house collapsed on them during a rainstorm.

TWO people died and five others were seriously injured when a house collapsed on them during a rainstorm.
The incident happened recently in East Ward ‘’B’’ village Kitgum town. The area LC I chairman, Alfred Omara identified one of the dead dead as a seven-year old girl, Molly Lakot and daughter to Christine Arach. Lakot was a pupil at Kitgum Prisons Nursery School.
Lodia Lalango said to be in her 60s also died in the incident. The LCs said she died on arrival to Kitgum hospital. The injured were also admitted in the same hospital.
A councillor for Kitgum town council, David Mikidi Kalyebara, who visited the scene told this reporter that he would recommend to the town council to pass a by-law aquiring all residents to plant trees around their homes to act as wind breaks.
