By Dennis Ojwee OVER 50 students of Lacor Minor Seminary have appealed to Joseph Kony, leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), to release their colleagues being held in the bush. Over 37 students from the seminary were abducted by the LRA two months ago. seven of them have reportedly been killed already. The students slept on the streets with the Anglican and Catholic bishops and the District Khadi at Gulu bus park on Sunday. “We are today appealing to Joseph Kony to release our fellow students from the bush and give up fighting and end the 17-year old rebellion in the north, especially in Acholiland. That is why we have come today to sleep with the spiritual leaders on house verandas and streets,†the angry seminarians said. The students carried various placards to express their annoyance with the government and the LRA rebels. The students, accompanied by the rector of Lacor Seminary, Monsignor Matthew Odong arrived at the bus park by 7:00pm. Ends
