The KKL youth side was officially presented to the various sponsors of the KKL at a press briefing and farewell at Lugogo Club House yesterday.
The captains, Benjamin Ochan and Dorian Klonaridis, were handed the national flag by the National Council of Sports acting general secretary John Odyek. The team, made up of players from Friends of Football (FOF), KKL and a few from the Jinja Total Nile Academy, leave today.
Several leading sponsors, who are behind the KKL touring party, attended the farewell party.
Kinna Football Club, a junior youth Swedish side, has invited the Ugandan youths for a series of friendly games. The team will also get an opportunity to play on astro-turf that they will use in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The other KKL team, the U-11, departs on July 4, as they will be making their debut in the two tournaments. The Kampala youth side will also make its debut in the Regio Haarlem Cup in Amsterdam, Holland.
