MASINDI – Dr. Mary Sylvia Rwakaikara, the Minister of Social services Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom recently urged parents join hands with teachers in the up bringing of the young generation.

“If we want up right and well disciplined children who will become leaders tomorrow after surviving the AIDS scourge, we must instill discipline in them. Let parents tell a child to abstain from sex and the teachers educate him/her on how to use a condom if necessary,” she said while closing a workshop on HIV/AIDS at Hotel Victory Bijja.

Government asked
WAKISO – Proprietors of private schools in the district have asked the Ministry of Education to re-introduce secondment of teachers to their schools. They have also requested for the provision of laboratory equipment at subsidised prices.
