MTN Uganda have introduced the Enyongeza package for pre-paid customers.
Starting today, customers will have a supplementary sh4,000 in airtime slotted on their phones with each service fee card loaded.
Phillip Besimiire, the company spokesman, said in a statement yesterday that the package, known as Enyongeza (Luganda for extra or more), will attract customers to the MTN network.
“This Enyongeza (package) is more emphasis that our pre-paid product is the best value for the customers,†he said.
Rivals, uganda telecom and Celtel Uganda do not charge a service fee. But Besimiire said, “MTN maintains its unparalled reach to millions of Ugandans through its extensive network coverage, with numerous value-added services, customer care and innovation.â€
Last week, MTN gave out free 50 minutes worth of airtime to its post-paid (talktime) customers.
