Celebrity Chef Evokes Empathy In Housemates

By press time yesterday, I had not yet known who was to be evicted. Such a sad story. I would have had a buoyant time rupturing their reputation further (that is of course if it was my man), as if it would not be enough that the poor fellow is home right now, snuggled up in his couch and feeling sorry for himself.
But, no such luck. So, I will restrict myself to the intriguing happenings just before eviction (at least what I saw). Bayo (and I cannot hide the fact I sort of like this guy) seemed the most affected. Now, we have always known this chubby Nigerian to be the early bird in the house, but yesterday, it seemed like something was after him. Oh yes, Bayo was up by 7:30am.
As usual, he busied himself with domestic chores –– hanging his laundry on the clothesline, then watering the garden and sweeping the porch. He also did a bit of ironing –– all within an hour.
But one did not need to be a shrink to see right through this façade. The guy was nervous as hell and, if you asked me, it all had everything to do with the evening’s eviction. But why didn’t that surprise me? From the word go, Bayo seemed most affected by his nomination, of the three.
Although, thankfully, he did not break down, he did seem a bit withdrawn.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the weekend seemed to be celebrity TV chef Ainsley Harriot’s visit to the Big Brother House. Warona and Zein seemed visibly more excited to see the man.
But it was not just about celebrity glamour. Ainsley who is in South Africa on a ‘Unite Against Hunger’ campaign pricked the housemates’ conscience –– he got them pondering the plight of all those hungry people in the world who sleep without food, so much they decided to put on their own little ‘Unite Against Hunger’ show. They got naked on the lawn in protest!
This, interestingly, steered the conversation to the topic of nudity in the house. Bayo expressed his desire to become a porn star while Gae showed his vulnerability by asking Abby (whom he had poured water on, a thing he paid heavily for) whether she would him after they left the house. Hmm, is Gae forgetting himself? Ends
