CASTROL Rally Team driver Wycliff Bukenya and Issa Numba have entered the Mountain Gorilla Rwanda rally due August 1-2.
Bukenya has entered his Toyota Celica ST185 for the race, despite its drive shaft and gearbox problems.
“I am now looking for a gearbox. If possible I will test the car in the UMC rally,” said Bukenya, a regular competitor in Rwanda’s round of the Africa Rally Championship (ARC) series.
Bukenya and Numba depart for Kigali on July 25 to have enough time for the recce of the rocky roads in the Central African country.
The duo, bring the number of Ugandan drivers in the fourth round of the ARC series to five.
Alpha Rally Team trio of Riyaz Kurji (Mitsubishi Evo7), Bob Roberts (Toyota Celica ST185) and Dolly Mubarak (Nissan Pulsar) entered the event earlier on.
