PLANS have been finalised to establish a direct flight between Abuja and Entebbe to facilitate trade between Nigeria and Uganda.

This was one of the issues discussed by Vice-President Prof. Gilbert Bukenya and his Nigerian counterpart Alhaj Abubaker Atiku in a meeting at Atiku’s residence in Abuja. Most of the passengers flying to Abuja connect through London or Nairobi.

Atiku said his government is committed to ensuring that all barriers to trade between the two countries are removed to promote their smooth partnership and closer ties of their people.

Bukenya is in Nigeria for the 6th African-American Summit.
