FOLLOWING the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebels incursion into Teso region, the neighbouring Pallisa district is not taking chances.
The district plans to set up security committees in most schools to monitor the situation.
The resident district commissioner who is also the district security committee chairman, Godfrey Kyomukama, said his committee would issue guidelines on the formation and functions of the committees.
He said formation of the committees was aimed at saving children from possible rebel abductions and getting lured into lawless activities.
