SAUL Mukasa became a proud owner of a bull after he dislodged Richard Jingo of Chills & Meals in the Mukono darts club open on Sunday.

The Kobs’ sensation proved unstoppable as he nailed his opponent 3-2 at Victoria Club in Kireka.

Mukasa, who had of late been relegated to the back seat, also beat Simon Okitoi of Soroti in the professional chart.

URA’s Olive Begomba walked away with a goat after edging Sarah Kitongo (Me-Ups) in the women’s category.

The Uganda Darts Association (UDA) sanctioned event is one of a series being organised to prepare for the Uganda Open, UDA chairman, Gordon Bamutura said.

Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia are among the countries that have confirmed participation in the event due in September.

Ugandans received a shock of their lives recently when they were thrashed by Kenyan women in the East Africa championships in Nairobi.

To push the momentum into full gear, more bulls will be up for grabs at the UDA Open due at Club Five, Makerere on August 2-3.
