Do you know that a healthy life style is far more essential for beauty than we realise? Cosmetics are helpful, but that is all they are, cosmetics!

When washed off, or when we stop using them for some reason, we are left with who we really are. True beauty can only be achieved as a result of a healthy life style.

Practising a healthy life style will give you a superior radiance that can not be washed off. Here is a simple, but effective recipe for a healthy life style:

  • Drink 608 glasses of clean boiled water daily. Water helps to cleanse your blood of impurities, keeps your skin youthful and lovely and prevents dehydration especially in hot weather.

  • Get adequate sleep. Inadequate sleep can make you disoriented, and make your hair, skin, and appearance dull.

  • Exercise on regular basis. Exercise helps to strengthen your heart, blood vessels, muscles and bones.

  • Get sufficient rest. Rest helps your mind and body to heal thus creating balance in your life.

  • Take time to pray. Prayer keeps us in contact with God, and our innerselves where our strength resides.

  • Observe proper hygiene. Poor hygiene is a cause of many avoidable diseases.

  • Practice healthy eating. Healthy eating habits will do you more goods than beauty products.

    For healthy eating we have included a recipe for “health “ for you to enjoy.

    Fresh cabbage, green pepper (bell pepper) and tomatoes salad.
    1 medium head of fresh cabbage
    2 medium tomatoes
    1 teaspoon cooking oil, or olive oil
    2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
    2 tablespoons kotimiri also known as daniya (optional)
    Method: cut ingredients in small cubes. Combine them in a bowl and mix well.
    Yield: Eight one cup servings. Serve as a snack or with meals.

    These ingredients contain vitamins A,C and folate. Play a very important role in keeping your immune system, bones, eyes, teeth hair, skin, blood vessels and heart healthy and beautiful.
