Uganda’s Kora Award hip-hop nominees Klear Kut officially launched their single Mon-coeur off their highly anticipated K2 album at the Miss Uganda Pageant.

Mon-coeur is a slow rhythmical melancholic love ballad emotionally inspired by the boys’ real life experiences –– about their long affairs turned sour.

“Mon-coeur, is a rather slow rapped-over song in English and French about various emotions felt by the members of the group,” Langman, one of the group members said.

The boys who have had the privilege of performing outside Uganda have not let the popularity get to their heads because they are still pursuing academic goals abroad besides their singing. “Klear Kut moves at the speed of five and we all realise that even though we love music, our education comes first,” Papito, a group member said.

The album has reggae, Kwaito and local sounds intermarried into hip-hop that Klear-Kut are famous for.

It also has guest appearances including Bebe Cool, Benon of the Nsazewo fame, Poetic and other international stars like the Bamamba brothers from New York City.

Dawoo of Baava studios produces all songs and the album is being sponsored by Alliance Francaise. The Mon-coeur video will soon grace WBS.
