THE four sports scribes who perished in a road accident on August 28, 2000 will be remembered in a memorial service set for Christ the King Church in Kampala tomorrow at 10.00am.

THE four sports scribes who perished in a road accident on August 28, 2000 will be remembered in a memorial service set for Christ the King Church in Kampala tomorrow at 10.00am.
Francis Batte Jr. of The Monitor, together with The New Vision’s Leo Kabunga, Simon Peter Ekarot and Kenneth Matovu, all of them executive members of Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA), died when coming from Nile Breweries in Njeru after USPA Gala sponsorship discussions.
Over the weekend, a football tournament was organised in their honour by OB Sports and utl emerged winners.
