THE National Football League Committee (NFLC) has rescheduled the Villa-Kinyara match, which was washed out on Saturday to September 4 the same day that Express takes on Top TV in the last match of the league.

THE National Football League Committee (NFLC) has rescheduled the Villa-Kinyara match, which was washed out on Saturday to September 4 the same day that Express takes on Top TV in the last match of the league.
According to secretary Justus Mugisha, NFLC received advice that it would be better for the two front runners to the top league honours to play their last games on the same day to quash match fixing chances.
The change forced NFLC to pull back the anticipated thriller between Villa and Police to September 1.
“We hope that these are the last matches to be rescheduled,†said Mugisha.
Meanwhile, NFLC is set to meet on Saturday to make a final ruling over the abandoned Heroes-Express match.
The committee will also discuss the Simba-Mbarara and Masaka-Game Boys matches which were not played because the visitors never turned up.
Meanwhile, Villa and Express resume their search for top honours today while Kinyara will be targeting the cops to free itself from relegation.

Former Express skipper George Ssemogerere will hold the key to either dent or propel Express’ title ambitions as he mans Masaka’s defence.
The towering defender has always been a hard nut to crack against giants, though towards the end, his mistakes have lately left Masaka LC on the losing end.
He is expected to utilise his vast experience to shut out the striking pair of Toto Songe and Hassan Mubiru.
The return of Wasswa Bbosa and David Obua will help solidify Express’ midfield, which to coach Jan Fray, is the heart of a most desired win in their run to the title.

Talk of Akol FC not turning up for their match against Villa is rife but coach Micho Sredojevic is not ready to take chances.
With Edgar Watson ruled out of the clash due to a knock and Alex Isabirye making a return on the bench, Sredojevic believes that the team has gained confidence and teamwork.
“We will wait for them and if they do not come, then we will continue with our campaign,†said Sredojevic.

Sixth-from-bottom Kinyara are still faced with relegation and their only chance to escape is by beating visiting Police to go above Iganga, who have completed all their encounters and are at 34 points.
Kinyara and Top TV all have 32 points with three games and a match in hand respectively and a win by either side will dump Iganga into first division next season.
r Assani Bajope and Nathan Mutenza continued their lethal streak by inspiring KCC past Mbale Heroes in their NSSL encounter at Nakivubo.
Mutenza pushed KCC ahead after the break before Bajope, who terrorised Heroes’ defence the entire evening, embarrassed custodian God Kiwanda with a cheeky effort from 30 yards that sneaked in at the near post.
That goal, Bajope’s 12th of the campaign, catapulted KCC into third place, a point ahead of URA.
