THE second edition of the City Tyres U-14 champions’ league gets underway today at Old Kampala Secondary School.
The league will see urban and rural side’s fight to win the highest prize in the youth tournament that is a brain-child of the organsiers, Friends of Football (FOF).
“We have decided that teams in the urban areas are grouped in the same groups so are the rural ones,” David Katabira, administrative secretary of FOF said.
“It would really be unfair to put all the teams together because the rural teams are less privileged than the urban ones,” Katabira added.

r OLIVE Murweire will be again recalled to show his striking abilities as the Junior football league enters week two at Kampala Parents school field.
The Rwenzori United striker, whose hat-trick helped his club demolish Orient Wizards 7-2 in last weekend’s action, will be back to haunt Falcons, who are yet to taste a win in the U-14 category.
