LIRA district chairman Franco Ojur has asked the Central Government to give the district equalisation grants to compensate revenue losses caused by insecurity.
He said insecurity had affected the district revenue base and mobilisation efforts.
Ojur made the appeal to state ministers Richard Nduhuura, for trade and industry, and Felix Okot Ogong, for youth and children affairs, at a fundraising for Erute North constituency recently.
The function was held at Amuca Primary School in Lira district.
