ADJUMANI— Resident District Commissioner Ahmed Awongo, recently said the war in northern Uganda was a national issue. He was speaking at a human rights workshop at Arua Catholic Centre last week. It was organised by the Uganda Human Rights Commission for public officials and the civil society.
Criteria set
ARUA — The district technical planning committee recently defined the criteria for awarding tenders and sectoral monitoring tools. It also agreed that promotions be done by the district service commission. The CAO warned against indiscipline.
Acholi gets
GULU — The chief of mission of the International Organisation for Migration in Uganda, John Walburn, recently handed three used Leyland trucks worth sh20m to Gulu, Kitgum and Pader districts.
