GOOD news! Genuine Yamaha products can now be got in Uganda at the newly established Yamaha Centre.

The centre, on plot 34, Luwum Street, stocks generators of various sizes. Four stroke generators save on fuel and are extremely easy to operate. The simple, compact and lightweight design is portable and good for family use.

YP10G, YP 20G and YP30G water pumps provide a stable supply of water to their high pumping capacities.

The centre has introduced the Yamaha’s first portable kerosene powered generator. It is economical to use.

“We sell motorcycles, fishing gear and other equipment from Japan,” says Christopher Ssaazi, the managing director.

“Instructors from Japan train our clients and dealers to use the products. Customers who buy motorcycles are given handy tips for avoiding accidents,” he says.

The centre sells durable new multi-purpose Yamaha engines. The engines can drive various machines including power generators, water pumps, concrete cutters, tractors and milling machines.

The centre, inaugurated by Hideki Sawada, the former senior general manager, Yamaha Ltd., was established to provide genuine Japanese products at reasonable prices.

Service centres have been set up in Katosi, Senyi, Butiaba, Bukungu and Dolwe.

“Our service men are well trained and equipped to repair the products on sale and to teach our customers how to maintain them,” Ssaazi says. “We also sell spare parts and offer after sale services.”

According to Ssaazi, there are many unscrupulous traders selling counterfeit Japanese products from Japan. The centre was set up to solve this problem.
