But it will not be until tomorrow that any Ugandan takes in the competition arena.

Uganda will be one of the over fifty countries that will be participating in the bi- continent games, which are aimed at cementing their relations.

11 Ugandan stars in boxing, athletics and weightlifting, are part of the African entourage that will compete against the top Asian and African stars for the one week tournament.

Tennis, hockey, football, swimming and shooting are the other disciplines that are being competed for at the games, but do not have any Ugandan competitor.

Uganda’s contingent has Sadat Tebazalwa, Jolly Katongole and Joseph Lubega, Isma Katamba, Moses Kimbowa, Irene Ajambo and Badru Namujje and athletes Boniface Kiprop and Dorcus Inzikuru.
