It is time to begin celebrating your creativity.

Four pupils are the first winners of the Design an Ad competition that is running till November 22.
Each advert published wins sh50,000! At the end of the contest, the best advert wins sh500,000! The second best sh300,000 while the third will win sh200,000.

Eighty eight children sent in adverts for Bata, MTN, Shell and Colgate Herbal for this week. It is nice seeing how creative children can be.

Even if your advert has been used, you can design many more as long as you attach a coupon on each advert.

The children who won the first
entries are; Alison Dinah Nadunga of Joy Primary School for her Shell advert. Irene Henrietta Kisakye of City Parents School won the one for Bata, Hellen Okubal Akayo of Kampala Parents’ School won that of MTN while Staicey Doris Nebyebyona of City Parents’ School won that of Colgate Herbal.

Many of you designed beautiful adverts that would have easily won. Unfortunately, some of you did not follow the instructions.

Your advert must fit in a box measuring 17 cm long and 13cm wide. If you cannot differentiate between the length and the width, ask your teachers to help you. You must follow the instructions especially the measurements if your adverts are to be considered.

Colour your adverts with markers or water paint. Use coloured pencils only if you cannot get markers or water paints. Crayons are better than coloured pencils. You may also design your advert using black ink or a black pen.

Please do not use a pencil because you will automatically be disqualified.

Design adverts for only companies that are participating. These are MTN, Shell, Bata and Colgate Herbal. Encourage your parents to buy The New Vision newspaper, so that you can cut out the coupon to enable you participate.
