MP Wants Arbiter On Kony War
ASWA MP and member of the northern war peace team, Reagan Okumu, has appealed to the international community to mediate in the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) war.

ASWA MP and member of the northern war peace team, Reagan Okumu, has appealed to the international community to mediate in the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) war.
Okumu was speaking at the opening of an art for peace exhibition at Makerere University.
The Government recently set up a peace team to negotiate with Joseph Kony’s LRA rebels.
The Belgian Ambassador, Adam Konrad, who was the chief guest, hailed his predecessor for granting sh13m to the Uganda Art For Peace (UAFP) in artworks efforts. He called upon the LRA to accept President Museveni’s offer of an amnesty, and to negotiate peace.
He commended UAFP for its decision to hold the art for peace exhibition to Gulu in December. He added that the children were the greatest victims.Ends
