SOUTH African Airways (SAA) and Kenya Airways have donated three air tickets for the best three investors of the year award.

The award is an annual event organised by the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) aimed at recognising the creative investors.

SAA will provide two economy class return tickets from Entebbe to Durban.

Rethabille Matseke, the SAA regional manager said that the company’s main markets are the corporate bodies that use the airways company for transporting of staff and official items.

“So the donation is aimed at winning ties with the UIA, the South Africans and the Ugandan business community because they support us,” she said.

Jimmy Kibati (left), the Country Manager for Kenya Airways handed over the air ticket worth US$ 1400 to the UIA acting executive director Lawrence Byensi at the company’s offices in Kampala.

The winner will fly from Nairobi to Capetown in South Africa on the Kenya Airways flight.

Kibati said the company has introduced flights to Bangkok and Hongkong three times a week and a direct flight from Nairobi to Cape Town.

“The direct flight to Capetown has boosted traffic from and to South Africa,” he said.
