Teacher held By Ali Mambule The Police in Kyotera town in Rakai district are holding a primary school teacher over stealing matooke from a neighbour’s garden. Jerovazio Lutaliga, 28, a teacher at Kyakudduse Primary School, was reportedly found in possession of four bunches of stolen matooke.
Man charged By Moses Nampala COURT in Jinja on Friday charged Joseph Balidawa with robbery and possession of stolen property. Prosecution said he was one of the two thugs who tried to kill a cyclist two months ago and later fled with his motorcycle. Balidawa denied the charges before Grade One Magistrate Patrick Mbangire.
Prison boss in By Frederick Kiwanuka LUWEERO court on Friday remanded the boss of Nyimbwa local administration Prison in connection with defilement of a primary seven pupil in Wakyato sub-county. Principal Officer David Mutumba was arrested from a hideout in Wakyato. The pregnant pupil missed her PLE exams after she dropped out of school.
