Jinja grade one magistrate Vincent Mugabo has remanded a man in Kirinya Prison with charges of indecent assault,
Samuel Walusimbi, 48, allegedly tore knickers of a primary five girl of Walukuba Primary school.
Prosecution alleges that on November 15 at Walukuba, Walusimbi confronted his victim on her way from school and tore her knickers before she made an alarm.
It further alleged that he tried to run off but was arrested with the help of local authorities.
Walusimbi, however, denied the allegations and the case was postponed to a later date.
Meanwhile, Police in Kamuli are hunting for a herbalist in connection with murder charges after he allegedly dispensed herbs suspected to be lethal to his client.
Yokana Muyobo of Kisozi village, Namasagali sub-county, allegedly gave Jane Mpatogera, 38, a herbal concoction to help her gain her fertility.
Police sources on Wednesday said Mpatogera had failed to get a child after being married for five years.
Mpatogera's husband, John Kabanda, said they had paid Muyobo sh100,000 for the services.
It is alleged that after Mpatogera drunk the medicine, she started complaining of severe abdominal pains before she died on her way to Rubaga Mission Hospital.
Muyobo is on the run.
