GOALS from Joseph Kabagambe and Henry Kabeta gave Cranes a winning start to their CECAFA Challenge Cup campaign yesterday.
It was a belated start to this year’s edition, hit by the last-minute withdrawal of several nations.
Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Burundi did not make it to Khartoum while the arrival of Tanzania was still in doubt.
Uganda went into half-time in front with Kabagambe striking the tournament’s first goal before Henry Kabeta stretched the lead.
