AGENTS and vendors in western region have welcomed publication of Orumuri twice a week, saying it will boost their earnings, writes Vision Reporter.

The excited group was last Thursday meeting with the New Vision circulation manager, Tom Wasswa at Pelican Hotel in Mbarara to discuss strategies of handling the bi-weekly format.

Some of the agents who also handle advertising said, Orumuri coming out in the middle of the week will fill the gap for those who want their adverts and other items to come out urgently. The vernacular paper sells mostly in the west.

They also agreed a bi-weekly Orumuri would provide space for more news and items which were previously not covered.

Wasswa told agents, vendors and reporters that this change was in response to calls from the readers and advertisers.

He said it was also in line with the company’s vision to expand as the dominant multi media enterprise through editorial innovations and world class practices.
