DEFENDING champions Kenya could send Eritrea packing and book a semifinal place for themselves and Uganda today.

Cranes, who have already won a game, could get their semi-final place without further sweat if Eritrea fall as expected.

Uganda beat Eritrea 2-1 on Sunday as the tournament hit by mass withdrawals, stuttered to a start.

Coaches’ Charles Namakola and Jackson Mayanja are handling Uganda Cranes, made up mainly of the U-23 team that plays Ethiopia in an Olympic qualifier on December 20.

Cranes will today take leave from the hot temperatures here by watching from the stands as their main rivals Kenya battle.
