UGANDA Cranes have been drawn with Ghana and South Africa in Group 2 of the 2006 African and World Cup qualifiers.
The clash with Ghana will be a repeat of the Group 13 2004 African Nations Cup qualification duel. Uganda beat Ghana 1-0 in Kampala and managed a point in Kumasi.
Qualification for the World Cup, that goes to the group winner, is almost impossible and Uganda’s realistic target is a top three finish that guarantees a spot at the 2006 continental games in Egypt.
Also in the group are Burkina Faso, Congo DR and Cape Verde Islands.
Neighbours Rwanda must overcome Nigeria.
