Sir - I have been watching how our CID do their work. I am a law student at Makerere University and I enjoy criminal law. I have also watched investigative films on UTV and MNET. I particularly recall the famous Inspector Derrick on UTV.
On October 15, 2003, The New Vision and Monitor reported the theft of sh10b from a Kenyan bank. The papers said the money was received by a city tycoon and a city lawyer. What bothers me is that such a big case with evidence is not yet in court!
If one receives stolen money on their account, the penal code says they should be charged with either theft or receiving stolen property. It will be a shame if the DPP fails to charge anybody.
