THE coordinator of Support Uganda, Dickens Ojamuge, has called for the establishment of a law to punish people who knowingly spread HIV/AIDS.
Ojamuge recently said this at an HIV/AIDS sensitisation workshop at the Green Top Hotel, Kumi district.
He urged the public to support people living with HIV/AIDS.
Globally, over 60 million people have died of HIV/AIDS. At least 40 million are infected, of whom 37.2 million are adults.
Ojamuge said women comprised 17.6 million and 2.7 million were children under 15 years.
